STEM FOR ALL!

One of Team 2847's missions is to encourage interest in the area of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in our community. To that end, we provide STEM activities at local events. We assist Martin County KnowHow with their VEX IQ build sessions and tournaments, 3D printer classes, and STEM Camps. We visit the elementary school for Lunch with a Robot, participate in the Homecoming Parade, run the timing system for the Youth Triathlon, present updates to our school board, man a booth at the county fair, and hold open houses for our families, sponsors, and community.

Our 2023 bot visited the lunchrooms at Fairmont Elementary School to give all 800 students the opportunity to observe how it works.
